That’s all they bothered to go after: Porsches, Jeep Wranglers, Mercedes, etc. A routine business inspection at a Santa Ana, California, body shop turned up a stolen Porsche. Further investigation found ten more hot luxury cars about $200,000 worth. Five suspects were arrested on suspicion of auto theft, insurance fraud, grand theft, possession of stolen property and conspiracy. One of the men arrested, Paul Ruelas of Mission Viejo, who owns Prompt Motor Vehicle Registration service in Lake Forest, is also charged with providing false information on documents filed with the DMV when he attempted to register the vehicles. The other four individuals arrested include Anthony Sarvucci of Laguna Hills, Soheil “Michael” Khavandi of Costa Mesa, Leonard Banks of Carson and Thaer Mustafa of Newport Beach.
