In a mid-April announcement, two people are charged with pig-skin fraud. Marcus Buckley, New York Giants linebacker now living in Texas, has been charged with wire fraud and money laundering in conjunction with defrauding an insurance company for more than $1.5 million dollars due to his ” football related stress injuries.” An employee of Bassett Services Inc., Kimberly Jones, — who handles worker’s compensation claims for the Giants — also has been charged for allegedly conspiring with Buckley, acting as what might be considered the ‘offensive lineman.’ Buckley, a third-round pick out of Texas A&M in 1993 was responsible for 137 tackles in 25 starts over seven years.
