Theresa Watkins has been sentenced to nine years in prison following convictions on a dozen years’ worth of fraud. Watkins was involved in a check-writing scam and credit card fraud. When investigators searched her home, they found 124 driver’s licenses, 64 of which had Watkins’s picture affixed. Interestingly, during one of Watkins’s five previous prison sentences, she studied photography and graphic arts, allowing her to perfect her criminal abilities while serving time. Prosecutors estimate that $90,000 was stolen during her latest criminal spree. We wonder what classes she’ll take during this prison sentence? Insurance Fraud 101? Advanced Telemarketing Scams? Beginning Signature Forgery?
